Climate
Little Shop of Physics, Poudre School District
In this latest episode of EveryDay Science, Lincoln Middle School students join Colorado State University's Brian Jones for a hands-on inquiry into the whys and where's of earth's climate. Using a range of techniques such as thermal imagery, simulating plant transpiration, and spinning a platter with dyed hot and cold water to mimic weather systems, the science of climate comes alive for students. As always, the episode features a historical scientist, experiments to try at home, and of course the final snack. In this episode, our student scientists enjoy layered mini-cakes suitable for coring to discover their baking history- much like ice cores and tree rings reveal climate history. Join the chaos and watch \"CLIMATE\".
